ArmInfo.A tense situation has developed in front of the representation of the Republic of Artsakh in the Republic of Armenia. The Karabakh residents who gathered here tried to get answers to their concerns related to the abolition of wage payments to public sector employees from October 1 of this year.
Trying to calm down those gathered, Shahramanyan noted that he was ready to answer all questions. He noted that today everyone is in an extremely difficult situation, but what is happening in front of the representative office makes the situation even worse.
"I want to assure you all, especially since there are no enemies here, that I am responsible to you, to your families for all the decisions that I made. We have another homeland - this is the Republic of Armenia, the security of which we have no right to jeopardize," Shahramanyan said, adding that he is ready to meet with each of the Artsakh residents.
Shahramanyan emphasized that he could not disclose the content of the reasons for the decree he signed on the dissolution of the Republic of Artsakh, but assured those present that Nagorno- Karabakh had not been liquidated.
"No leader can liquidate the state created by the people. This document was signed only to stop hostilities. After the decree was signed, hostilities ceased. Let none of you have any doubts: if we were confident in the success of military operations, we would stand to the end. We saved the lives of our soldiers and civilians. If the war continued, the enemy would have entered Stepanakert within an hour. "In the near future, I will answer all your questions in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia," Shahramanyan emphasized.
After this, discussions continued at the representation office. The police cordon located near the building failed to stop the flow of people pouring into the representative building, where special forces were called. Nevertheless, discussions took place. According to one of their participants, during the conversation, no answers were received to the questions raised.
"Everything that happened was in front of us all, but we were interested to know what preceded all these processes. I was drafted into the army, but my salary has not been paid for two months already," he complained. Let us recall that by Shahramanyan's decree, on January 1, 2024, the Republic of Artsakh ceased to exist. After the military aggression of Azerbaijan on September 19-20, a mass exodus of Karabakh residents to Armenia began.
