ArmInfo. 81% of cases of coronavirus detected in Armenia are related to Etchmiadzin and one of the manufacturing enterprises. This was announced during a live broadcast on Facebook by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, indicating that the total number of patients is 84 people.
In total, 444 citizens were isolated in the republic, and another 799 were self-sacrificed at the place of residence. To date, measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus remain unchanged: a circle of people in contact with patients is identified and isolated. Pashinyan drew attention to the fact that these measures helped to stop the spread of coronavirus in the case of the very first patient who arrived in Armenia from Iran. In the case of Etchmiadzin, the prime minister noted, there is a slowdown in the spread of the coronavirus, but as for the manufacturing enterprise, emergency measures are being taken in this direction. The prime minister emphasized that in the case of Echmiadzin and in the case of a manufacturing enterprise, such a scenario could have been avoided if the citizens who had become the source of the spread of the virus showed consciousness and followed all the recommendations of the Ministry of Health. As for the condition of patients with coronavirus, the health status of two patients with pneumonia has improved, and a decrease in temperature is observed. It is noteworthy that in 17 patients of the total number of infected, initially there were no symptoms. As for local cases of coronavirus, for example, the cases in Charentsavan concern citizens from France who, upon arrival, did not come into contact with anyone.
Based on the fact that the elderly are at risk, the possibility is being discussed that pensions, which are paid not on a card, but in cash, will be delivered to the beneficiaries at home. Pashinyan also called on people over 60 to isolate themselves and limit contacts. "The situation with the coronavirus is manageable, and the effectiveness of the struggle we are carrying out has been proven," the prime minister emphasized. Pashinyan also touched on the situation with the shortage of antimicrobial disinfectants and alcohol in pharmacies, noting that 11 thousand liters of alcohol are processed daily in Armenia, some of which goes to the production of alcohol. Given this, as well as the fact that the three enterprises operating in Armenia for its production operate at full capacity, it can be assumed that the shortage of goods is associated with panic purchases by citizens. In this regard, the Prime Minister called on citizens to calm, especially since in the near future the fourth alcohol production enterprise could be launched in the republic.
