ArmInfo. Yerevan Zoo temporarily stops its work. <For security reasons, the Yerevan Zoo will be closed until March 23. The necessary information will be provided on the resumption of the park>, the zoo said in a statement.
Recall that in connection with the situation with coronavirus, theaters, concert halls, museums and libraries, as well as preschool and educational institutions, are closed in Armenia until March 23. Currently, 15 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Armenia. Note that 8 cases of coronavirus are associated with the infamous engagement in Echmiadzin, where an Armenian citizen, who came from Milan, and hiding her symptoms from doctors, became the carrier of the virus. In this regard, the mayor of Echmiadzin appealed to citizens not to leave the city without emergency.
Preventive measures have been strengthened in Yerevan: starting from March 14, all trains of the Yerevan Metro will be disinfected by the means recommended by the Ministry of Health. We add that Armenia and Georgia, by mutual agreement from 08.00 on March 14, stop traveling for two days by citizens of the two countries. Meanwhile, the restrictions introduced do not apply to cargo transportation. In addition, both countries will provide unhindered entry for citizens who wish to return to their homeland.
