ArmInfo.On the South Caucasus Railway, measures are being taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
According to the message, since the beginning of this week, a number of priority measures have been taken at South Caucasian Railways to prevent the spread of coronavirus. All employees working with passengers (guides, cashiers, attendants at stations, drivers of international trains) are provided with medical masks, protective gloves and antiseptics.
Station premises are ventilated and disinfected by special means. Also, at the railway stations, rooms for passengers and employees with signs of malaise have been allocated, passengers are being audio-informed about preventive measures.
Targeted briefing of employees is carried out daily, they are provided with instructions for the prevention of coronavirus infection.
As noted by the Director General of CJSC SCR Alexei Melnikov, the company is taking measures to maximize the protection of its employees and passengers.
"The railway is a strategic object, and we must ensure its uninterrupted and safe operation in cooperation with state bodies, the Ministry of Healthcare," the head of SCR emphasized.
South Caucasus Railway CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of Russian Railways OJSC and provides concession management of Armenian railways.
The railway infrastructure of Armenia was transferred to the concession management of SCR CJSC in accordance with the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The concession management period is 30 years with the right to extend for another 10 years. To recall, to date, one patient with coronavirus has been identified in Armenia; his condition is assessed as good, there are no other temperature or symptoms. Another 31 citizens are isolated in the five-star Golden Palace Hotel. All isolated citizens are provided with everything necessary, including food and Internet access.
