ArmInfo.Georgia announced the construction of roads connecting it with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey.
"Along with the government's investment in modernizing the country's railways, extremely significant roads are being built that will unite the country with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey," Georgian Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili said during a speech at the International Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.
According to the local Report bureau, the minister noted that new roads are being built in the country as part of the East-West highway, and these roads will be faster, more reliable and safer.
M. Tskitishvili emphasized that Georgia supports the development of the existing Black Sea ports and the project of the deep sea port Anaklia: "These projects will allow Georgia to better meet the requirements of the Silk Road."
