ArmInfo. The leader of the "Yerkir Tsirani" party, Zaruhi Postanjyan, addressed the ambassadors of Russia and the United States, as well as the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, expressing her concern about the "oppression" of the media by the new authorities of Armenia. As Postanjyan wrote on her Facebook page, in particular, it's about the authorities 'attempts to expel a number of media outlets from the editorial territories they occupy in state buildings. According to her, the new authorities of Armenia consider free media to be "personal enemies".
At the same time, Postanjyan noted that the media should adhere to the norms of ethics and correctness in their activities. It should be noted that a few days ago, the Yerevan City Hall issued a statement that by the decision of the Yerevan Mayor, the media located in the building at 1/3 Byuzand must leave the occupied territories within 5 days.
Earlier, similar media reports (including ArmInfo news agency), operating at Arshakunyats 2 and Isahakyan 28 (press houses), which are on the balance sheet of the Committee on State Property Management, received similar notifications. If the last department, having gathered media leaders, notified that it wouldn't be doing this for 2-3 years, then the Yerevan mayor's office is determined.
