ArmInfo. Preparations are underway for a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to Trend, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva said this at a press conference on Monday.
She noted that at the moment there is no specific information on the timing of the meeting. "Work in this direction continues," she added.
At the same time, Abdullayeva informed that the next meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers Elmar Mamedyarov and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan is also on the agenda. According to her, this issue was discussed during the last visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in Baku. "Azerbaijan is ready to hold such meetings focused on results and aimed at liberating their occupied territories and ensuring the return of internally displaced persons to their homelands," said Abdullayeva.
To note, the last time the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The meeting was spontaneous without the participation of Minsk intermediaries.
