ArmInfo.Within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, a meeting was held between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite.According to the press service of the RA government, during the meeting issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation were discussed.
In particular, the interlocutors touched upon the development of the Armenian-Lithuanian political and economic relations, Armenia-European Union relations, including in the framework of the Comprehensive and Enlarged Partnership Agreement between the EU and Armenia.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of ratification of this agreement by the EU countries in a short time and thanked the Lithuanian president for completing the process in the country's parliament. The head of the government also touched upon the reforms carried out in Armenia and noted that the early parliamentary elections held in December are of historical significance for Armenia, since for the first time in the last decades the election results did not cause any doubts. According to the Prime Minister, international observation organizations also confirmed the free, fair and transparent nature of the elections.
Dalia Grybauskaite welcomed the steps of the government headed by Prime Minister Pashinyan aimed at developing and strengthening democracy, and also expressed her country's readiness to support Armenia in carrying out reforms.
