Asked whether the Armenian authorities should intervene in the situation in Artsakh, the deputy said: "I think that certain assessments from Armenia should be voiced." Concerning whether the scenario of events in Armenia that led to the change of power can be repeated in Artsakh, Nahapyatyan said that nothing should be ruled out.
On June 1, in Stepanakert there was a fight between two citizens of Artsakh and several employees of the National Security Service. The participants of the fight were detained. After that, protests began in Stepanakert demanding the resignation of the heads of the republic's law enforcement agencies. Today, protest actions took place in NKR demanding the resignation of the heads of law enforcement agencies. Prior to that, the demonstrators met with Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, however, they were not satisfied with the response of the head of state, who said that in the near future the issue would be resolved in an institutional way, that is, structural reforms would occur in the sphere of power structures, regardless of the personality of their leaders.
