ArmInfo.. Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes that with the new Armenian government relations between Moscow and Yerevan will develop no less dynamically than before.
"I would like to wish you successes as head of the government and I hope that our relations will develop as progressively as it has been so far," Putin said during the first meeting in Sochi with the new prime minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, RIA Novosti reports.
The Russian president stressed that Russia "considers Armenia as closest partner and ally in the region," adding that this concerns both economic cooperation and security issues.
Putin expressed hope that "very good results," which demonstrate the recent economic cooperation between Russia and Armenia, "will not only preserve but also multiply."
