ArmInfo. Armenia along with Russia, Kazakhstan, China, India, Serbia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and other countries voted against the resolution prepared by Ukraine and submitted to the vote of the UN General Assembly regarding the situation in the Crimea.
The resolution urges Russia to comply with 12 recommendations with a view to "immediately put an end to all violations and infringements of human rights with respect to the inhabitants of the Crimea."
"For" the adoption of the document, 70 states voted - most of the European countries and the US, "against" - 26 countries, 76 countries - many countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and Latin America abstained.
