ArmInfo.The lists of persons voting at the parliamentary elections will be scanned and posted on the Armenian Central Electoral Commission's website. The relevant decision was taken at the extraordinary sitting of the Commission.
Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan says that the given decision is dictated by the requirements of the Electoral Code and aims to enhance public confidence in the electoral processes in the country.
To note, the relevant provision of the Electoral Code is the result of political consultations between the authorities and the opposition. The opposition insisted on including this provision in the Electoral Code.
To recall, the parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for April 2. According to the Central Electoral Commission's decision, the official election campaign in Armenia will kick off on March 5 and will be over on March 31. The voting will take place on April 2, from 8 am till 8 pm. The preliminary results will be publicized on April 3 before 8pm.
