ArmInfo. Progress has been registered in Armenia-Russia relations in 2016, which causes discontent of a umber countries members of the CSTO, Kiro Manoyan, Head of the ARFD Bureau's Hay Dat and Political Affairs Office stated at the press conference on December 26.
According to him one of the evidences of such a discontent is that the Armenian candidate announced earlier for the position of CSTO Secretary General has not been appointed yet. At the same time he thinks that delays in supply of weapons within $200 mln loan to the Armenian side is defined by relations of partner countries. "All these facts demonstrate that CSTO member countries are not enthusiastic with Armenia's possible success", Manoyan stressed.
Manoyan also touched upon Karabakh settlement. Particularly, member of Dashnaktsutyun noted that the Armenian side should not talk about any territorial concessions, as Azerbaijan does not recognize Artsakhpeople's right to self-determination. "ARF Dashnaktsutyun does not agree with approaches of neither the first nor the second Presidents of Armenia on Karabakh issue. We think that negotiations should ensure equal concessions, however currently it is dangerous to talk about any concessions", he noted.
The member of Dashnaktsutyun considers that currently the possibility of resumption of military actions in the zone of Karabakh conflict is not high as during the April war Baku received a due response. "April events have demonstrated that there is no progress in the negotiations process as Azerbaijan is not satisfied with the proposals of the OSCE MG Co-Chairs. After the April events the negotiation process has changed: now the Armenian side demands to take steps on establishing mutual trust while Azerbaijan hampers any such an attempt", he stressed.
