ArmInfo. A revolt can become an alternative to fair and transparent parliamentary elections in Armenia, former Deputy Head of President's Admininstration Viktor Dallakyan stated at the press conference in Yerevan today.
He particularly stated that hindering retention of the current authorities should be priority for political forces. ''July events have demonstrated that if the authorities attempt to rig April elections the opposition will have no other choice than doing the same what Sasna Tsrer have done'', the politician emphasized. At the same time he added that this is not a wanted scenario for him. ''We stand for peaceful change of power via elections'', he stressed. Dallakyan also stated that he stands for large political public consolidation and in order to reach it a number of meetings with politicians, parties and public organizations are needed. ''We stand for interests of Armenia exclusively and do not support any unions based on common foreign political interests as this is offensive for a sovereign country'', he stated.
The politician also added that he is for attracting numerous observers in the electoral processes. According to him involvement of famous cultural and public figures from Armenia and Diaspora in this process will have only positive impact on the elections.
To note, political parties are holding talks for forming pre-electoral alliances. ''Republic'', ''Civil Contract' and ''Bright Armenia'' Parties have already announced their intention to participate jointly in the elections. Armenia's People's Party and Armenian National Congress have stated that they will continue their cooperation. According to Armenian mass media Union and Heritage are also holding negotiations. Besides, almost all the opposition forces stand for consolidation. Meanwhile the ruling Republican Party does not hurry to form pre-electoral blocks and alliances.
