ArmInfo. A row erupted between Head of the Armenian Delegation Koryun Nahapetyan and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during the 62nd NATO Parliamentary Assembly Annual Session in Istanbul.
According to Turkish media, Nahapetyan claimed that Turkey supports global terrorism, specifically the Islamic State. He added that Turkey unilaterally keeps Armenia's border blocked and ignores the international community's efforts towards normalization of relations with Yerevan. Nahapetyan noted that Ankara's any interference in the Karabakh peace process will only harm the process, because Turkey unilaterally supports Azerbaijan's stand. He added that without the neighboring countries' consent Turkey has deployed its contingents on their territories.
Cavusoglu, in turn, reproached the Armenian Delegation for "unfair and biased" assessments, and noted that Ankara campaigns for the territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq. He urged the Armenian Delegation to be "fair". "How can you say that we supported Daesh?" he said, adding that Turkey arrested and killed a lot of ISIS members.
