I believe that comprehensive settlement of Karabakh conflict will be reached in foreseeable future, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski stated on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of European Club in Yerevan on October 18 answering to the question whether programs similar to European Club may be launched in future in Nagorno Karabakh.
The diplomat recalled that he does not have the mandate for Nagorno Karabakh. However, I am sure that people of Nagorno Karbakah, especially youth will benefit from comprehensive settlement of the conflict, and in that case EU will provide assistance
The European diplomat also noted that EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Herbert Salber will arrive in Yerevan this week.
He recalled that the EU has allocated funds both to Armenia and Azerbaijan for implementing programs on establishing contacts. At the same time he expressed assurance that Salber will continue to search for new ways of implementation of such projects.
To note, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Herbert Salber will visit Armenia this week and Azerbaijan next week. He will hold consultations on high level in both countries.
