The Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation assigns a high priority to the inter-regional cooperation, Maksim Sokolov, the Russian co-chair of the Commission, Transport Minister of Russia, said at the ongoing 5th Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum and the First International Forum of Eurasian Partnership in Yerevan.
In his worlds, the commission looks to strengthen the relations between the regions of Armenia and Russia, among others though improvement of the contractual basis. He said more than 65 subjects of the Russian Federation have been involved into the inter-regional cooperation. Armenia's major partners are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar krai, and other regions.
To note, the key goal of the Fifth Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum is to contribute to further development of the Russian-Armenian allied relations in the context of establishment of bilateral interactions mechanisms at the interregional level. The forum will give a fresh impetus to the bilateral cooperation between Russia and Armenia, and will improve the business environment and strengthen the interaction between the two countries' provinces.
The goal of the First International Forum of Eurasian Partnership is to foster the integration processes of bilateral and multilateral trade and economic partnership in the Eurasian space involving the Eurasian Economic Union, China, India, Iran, CIS, SCO, and other interested states and integration structures
