ArmInfo. Secretary of the Bright Armenia faction Gevorg Gorgisyan appealed to Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with a request to cancel the fines for not wearing masks against RA citizens registered in the family insecurity assessment system.
Gorgisyan's statement, in particular, notes: "Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, many citizens who are in extremely unfavorable social conditions were fined for wearing masks in Armenia. Many of them are registered in the family insecurity assessment system, and they do not have the opportunity to pay this fine.
Many cases are at the stage of enforcement proceedings and representatives of the Service for the Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts have the right to receive fines from these citizens. Considering all of the above, I urge you to abolish fines for these citizens>, Gorgisyan concluded.
It should be noted that the working group of ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Prosperous Armenia and Homeland parties today made a similar joint statement. The statement stated that they have developed a project in which they advocate the abolition of fines, for the absence of masks. "Given the difficult socio-economic situation in the country due to the coronavirus epidemic, the growth of unemployment and poverty, the working group decided to develop a project to abolish the fines applied in connection with the violation of the legal regime of the state of emergency. In the near future the "Prosperous Armenia" party will put this project into circulation in the National Assembly," the statement says. The parties also intend to make a court decision to challenge unreasonable fines for not wearing of a mask.
