ArmInfo. Armenian rescuers removed the body of a third citizen from under the rubble of a half-collapsed building in Yerevan. Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia Felix Tsolakyan said this in an interview with journalists.
"The third victim has just been removed from the rubble. Unfortunately, he is dead. This is a 56-year-old man, Arthur Ghazaryan. I express my condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," Tsolakyan said, adding that according to available preliminary data, more citizens should not be under the rubble. He also informed that the seismic resistance of the building is being checked now, and the first, second and third entrances are in good condition, there are suspicions about the fourth entrance, and the fifth one has collapsed. He also found it difficult to say on which floor the explosion occurred and as a result. Tsolakyan also informed that all citizens left without a roof over their heads will be properly accommodated.
As ArmInfo previously reported, this morning an explosion caused a collapse in a 4-storey building at Rainisa 1 in the administrative district of Kanaker-Zeytun. According to preliminary data, a gas leak was the cause of the explosion. Partially collapsed 12 apartments in the 5th entrance. Two dozen citizens were evacuated. From under the rubble, two citizens were removed - a man and a woman. The man's condition is extremely serious, he has numerous burns.
