ArmInfo.Yards and adjacent territories have become the main focus of the spread of coronavirus in Armenia. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced this on June 18 at a government meeting, referring to the analysis.
The Prime Minister informed that in connection with this circumstance, measures will be taken to strengthen monitoring in these territories. In addition, Pashinyan pointed out the importance of observing anti-epidemiological measures when organizing queues of citizens in administrative institutions. This, in particular, applies to passport and visa departments of the Police, branches of <HayPost>, customs and tax authorities, where there may be large concentrations of citizens. As an example, Pashinyan noted that banks were able to find solutions to coordinate the situation. As it was emphasized, for the observance by citizens of social distance and other anti-epidemiological measures, the heads of the respective units will be personally responsible. The prime minister recalled that he had previouinfected with coronavirus and did not infect anyone from his work environment due to the constant wearing of the mask. Pashinyan called on citizens to be vigilant, noting that in the republic there may be several tens of thousands of asymptomatic patients with coronavirus.
In total, 18698 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 7560 people recovered, 309 died. Currently, 10728 patients are receiving treatment.
