ArmInfo.Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharian will remain in custody. The court of general jurisdiction, presided by Anna Danibekyan, rejected the request of the defense of Robert Kocharian to change the preventive measure in respect of the latter.
According to Danibekyan, the decision can be appealed to the Court of Appeal for 10 days. At the same time, she said that information about the operation of the second president of the Republic of Armenia was received from the Izmirlyan medical center, as a result of which the latter could not attend the court session.
The next court hearing will be held on May 19 at 13:00. Recall that on May 8, the lawyers of the ex-head of state submitted applications for the release of Kocharyan on personal guarantee, release on bail, as well as changing the preventive measure. Robert Kocharian is charged with overthrowing the Constitutional system in the framework of the events of March 1, 2008.
