ArmInfo.The second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian who was undergoing inpatient treatment at the Izmirlyan Medical Center was operated on the morning of May 12. This was reported by the office of the former head of state, without specifying the nature of the surgical intervention.
<The operation went according to plan, Kocharyan's well-being is satisfactory, he is under constant medical supervision>, the message reads.
To recall, on April 28, Kocharyan was transferred to the Izmirlyan Medical Center for a postoperative examination. Last fall, the former head of state was operated on in connection with a benign tumor. In addition, in March of this year he was hospitalized with complaints of poor health and high blood pressure, and was subsequently treated at the Erebouni Medical Center.
To recall, Robert Kocharyan was charged with overthrowing the Constitutional system in the framework of the events of March 1, 2008.
On May 8, the lawyers of the former head of state submitted applications for the release of Kocharyan on personal guarantee, release on bail, as well as a change in the measure of restraint. The decision will be announced on May 13 at 5:50pm.
