ArmInfo. The number of cases of coronavirus in the community of Vardenis of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia reached 47. The governor of the region, Gnel Sanosyan, reported on his Facebook page.
According to him, out of these 47 cases, 12 were attributable to employees of the local hospital (only one of them was a doctor) and 9 to polyclinic employees (two of them were doctors). The governor admitted that there were problems with identifying the focus of the spread of coronavirus: the first case was detected by a polyclinic doctor, and it is necessary to understand who it was infected from. To this end, as Sanosyan informed, the circle of her contacts is being clarified. In total, about 150 citizens were sent to isolation in the hotels of Yerevan and Tsaghkadzor, and a number of people were self-isolated.
From 08:00 on April 22, a special regime of entry and exit was established in the Vardenis community, and 5 checkpoints were placed for this purpose. Thus, entry and exit of persons and vehicles is prohibited, with the exception of the supply of goods and basic necessities, food, medicine and fuel. Limitations will last until 23:59 on April 28, 2020.
The Vardenis Clinic has not been operational since April 17; since April 21, the work of the Vardenis hospital has been limited; only the "Ambulance" service operates and urgent, emergency medical care is provided. According to Sanosyan, urgent patients can be taken to Martuni medical center, where for the second day, obstetric services are provided to the residents of Vardenis.
In total, 1473 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 633 people recovered, died 24. At present, 816 patients are receiving actual treatment.
