Vice Speaker of Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov
has recommended Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) to wait for the elections of
2017-2018 calm and quiet. Sharmaznov made such statement to ArmInfo when
commenting on the statement by PAP Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan who
declared that PAP is going to come to power calm and quiet.
"The only way to come to power calm and quiet is
elections. However, all the elections
are over and the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) gained victory at the
parliamentary, presidential and municipal elections. Consequently, PAP has no other choice but wait for the next
elections," he said.
The politician said that RPA cooperates will all the
political forces in the parliament. The issue of the coalition has been settled
and the new staff has been approved. The program of the new government will be
introduced soon. Therefore, it is too
late to speak of a coalition with the PAP, Sharmazanov said.
As regards the permanent maneuvers of PAP between the
government and the opposition, Sharmazanov said that these are internal
problems of that party.
"RPA does not discuss such issues. We have other
important issues to discuss," he said.
Earlier on May 14, PAP Leader Gagik Tsarukyan declared
that PAP will not become opposition, but will keep working for the welfare of
the Armenian public.
"PAP will be alternative to the
authorities," Tsarukyan said without specifying the meaning of the
alternative political force. However,
on the threshold of all the elections in the country PAP used to come out as
radical opposition and then take a passive opposition stance after elections.
