Former head of the Yerevan Police Nerses Nazaryan has
refuted his involvement in the scandal over the blown-up 'economic bubble,' a
local Zhoghovurd newspaper writes.
The paper recalls that the economic bubble created and
managed by high-ranking police officers fraudulently 'earned' 2.5 million
dollars and blew up. The case is in charge of the Special Investigation
Service.
Commenting on the reports on
his involvement in the case, Nazaryan told Zhoghovurd that it was an attempt to
involve him in the case. He called the reports rumors. Asked why he has neither
refuted the rumors nor commented on the real reasons of his resignation,
Nazaryan said: "With my silence I ignore that lie. The time will give
answers to all questions. Let's wait and see."
