VTB Bank (Armenia) has funded the construction of the "Klubnichnaya Polyana" LLC energy efficient greenhouse facility. The facility occupies an area of 3 hectares in Nor Geghi village (Kotayk province of Armenia). The press office of the Bank has told ArmInfo that the greenhouse will grow strawberries by means of up-to-date technologies that secure high yield and high quality of the product.
The source says that the company's product is the glass-grown "Albion" strawberries which have high resistance to transportation and storage. The strawberries will be sold on the Armenian market and may be exported to Russia in the future.
Yuri Gusev Director General, Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank (Armenia), says that the Bank actively funds the greenhouse facilities in Armenia. "Our mutually beneficial cooperation with "Klubnichnaya Polyana" LLC will be developed and expanded. There are all favorable conditions for successful business conduct. I hope the company will shortly start exporting its products to the Customs Union countries, stimulating Armenian export," Gusev says.
"Klubnichnaya Polyana" LLC cooperated with Richel Group (France) - Europe's market leader in building and outfitting plastic greenhouses. Richel Group is present in more than 80 countries across the globe.
According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Banks by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), as of 1 October 2015, VTB Bank (Armenia) retained leadership in SME lending - 84.6 bln AMD. The share of SME loans in the loan book of the Bank was over 45%, and the share of VTB Bank's SME loans in the Armenian banks' aggregate lending in that sector was almost 15%. The Bank held leading positions in lending to agriculture, construction, trade and industry. The share of lending to economy sectors in the Bank's loan book was about 60%.
