The Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts upheld a motion of Armenia's National Security Service to arrest Arthur Vardanyan for two months as preventive measure, Arthur Vardanyan's lawyer informed. Vardanyan is suspected for organizing a criminal group and preparing terrorist attacks on the territory of the country. The Court also upheld motion of Armenia's National Security Service to arrest group member Asya Mkrtchyan for two months.
As the ArmInfo's correspondent informs, the court has already upheld motion of National Security Service to arrest four members of the group and entered into examination of the motion of arresting the rest members of the criminal group neutralized in Yerevan.
To note, 21 members of the group were brought hand locked to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts. The security of the court has been enhanced.
As it was reported earlier, Artur Vardanyan detained on suspicion of organizing a criminal group and preparing terror attacks on the territory of Armenia, repels the accusations, his lawyer Levon Barseghyan informed at a press conference on November 27.
To note, as a result of investigative measures taken by the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, an organized criminal group intending to commit grave crimes in the territory of Armenia has been disclosed, the NSS press office reports. On November 25, the joint measures taken with the Armenian Police arms and ammunition, explosives, communication facilities and others were found.
