Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) is keen to have its receivables paid through court action.
Natalia Sarjanyan, Spokesperson for ENA CJSC, told ArmInfo Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC has filed petitions for bankruptcy of such companies as Vanadzor Chemical
Industry CJSC that owes 1.429 billion drams to ENA, Nairit Plant CJSC - 1.060 billion drams, Glendale Hills CJSC - 121 million drams. Among ENA's debtors also such companies as Hrazdan Cement CJSC (over 404 million drams), Garni Drinking Water Company (467 million drams), Dzoraghbyur Drinking Water Company (32.6 million drams).
ENA Director General Yevgeny Bibin said in an interview with ArmInfo the total debt of consumers is 9.8 billion drams. One of the most painful issues for the company is the 2.5 billion drams debt of Nairit Plant and Vanadzor Chemical Industry Company, Bibin said. However, system problems that were in no way connected with the activity of the company - reduction of power generation at big and large HPPs, protracted repair of the nuclear power plant, energy imbalance - have affected ENA's activity over the last 3 years.
The energy balance approved by the public services watchdog did not provide for that. Eventually, ENA short-received 37.6 billion drams.
