Baku started criticizing Russia-24 channel. The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan accuses the channel for spreading false and fictitious information about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"Turkish Grin: Why did the "Grey Wolves" Kill the Russian Pilot", aired Nov. 26 by Russia's state channel Russia24, referred to Azerbaijan on the basis of false and fictitious information and distorted information on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hikmat Hajiyev said on Nov.27. The spokesman said those preparing the program, in which Azerbaijan was mentioned based on completely wrong and biased information, are aiming at undermining relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, the two
friendly and neighboring countries.
The official representative of the Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that in the program Nagorno-Karabakh was presented as a legitimate side of the conflict, which according to Hajiyev contradicts to Russia's stand on the issue of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
To note, Russia's state channel Russia24 broadcasted "Turkish Grin: Why did the "Grey Wolves" Kill the Russian Pilot", which tells how Chechen fighters were trained on the territory of Azerbaijan, about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani side's actions and other issues.
