The State Security Service of Georgia has detained three citizens of Armenia and three citizens of Georgia for attempting to illegally sell Uranium-238 for 200 mln USD.
Sputnik Georgia reports that the Tbilisi City Court has already chosen pretrial detention as a measure of restraint against the citizens.
The case of improper handling and sale of nuclear material (Article 230, Part 1 of the Georgian Criminal Code) is being investigated by the General Investigative Division of the Counter-Intelligence Department of the Georgian State Security Service. The specified article stipulates imprisonment for 5-10 years.
