The current year will see a new level of the Armenia- European Union cooperation. Yerevan and Brussels are expected to specify the frameworks of cooperation and enhance the regulatory framework of the combined work, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, H.E Ambassador Traian Hristea told reporters, Wednesday.
The European diplomat said the parties have a political will to launch negotiations for a new agreement between Armenia and the EU. "We would like to see an active public involvement in this process," Hristea said. He is sure that with public participation the fulfillment of the Eastern Partnership's agenda will attain a new quality.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Karen Nazaryan, in turn, shared the ambassador's views and highlighted the importance of the civil society's involvement in the process of the Armenia-EU cooperation. The deputy minister and the European diplomat believe that the EaP Summit in Riga in May will specify the agenda of further relations of Yerevan and Brussels.
