Musicians of Armenian descent from the best world orchestras have founded an interim band "Armenian Orchestra of the World", which will give a concert at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris to commemorate the Armenian Genocide Centennial. The conductor is Alain Altinoglu, world known French conductor of Armenian descent. The concert seeks to become the symbol of Pan-European and world unity in the fight against denial of the Armenian Genocide.
The press office of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK has told ArmInfo that the concert dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial is organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union with the support of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, the French Embassy in Armenia and the Armenian Ministry of Culture under the patronage of the Presidents of Armenia and France.
The objective of that exclusive event is to inscribe the fact of Armenian Genocide on the mankind's memory to prevent such crimes in the future.
To note, the concert will also be available for the audience in Diaspora and Armenia. The concert will be broadcast live at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet on April 21. The live transmission will start at 9:30pm. Due to the cooperation with the Orange Foundation, the concert will also be transmitted live on the "Armenia" satellite TV channel in European countries, the United States and Russia. On April 24, the audience of Armenia will be able to enjoy the concert on the "Armenia" TV channel.
