Ankara's nervous steps demonstrate that it has overestimated its capacities to prevent the wave of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide on the threshold of the centenary, Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute, said when replying to ArmInfo's question.
Turkey is shocked, he said. Minasyan also stressed that Ankara realizes its guilt and understands that on the threshold of the Armenian Genocide centenary the international community will not be indifferent to the ongoing events. He said that Turkey was trying to draw the attention away from the Armenian Genocide centenary by organizing festivities dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Victory, however, its efforts were in vain, because many countries will not attend the events in Turkey for moral and ethnical reasons.
