The Karabakh conflict should be settled by exclusively peaceful means, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan says in an interview with Radio Vatican.
"Certainly, before Azerbaijan unleashed the April war against Nagorno-Karabakh, we were talking about the need to settle the conflict on a basis of compromises, however, today people do not understand what concessions one can talk about with the country, which has broken its own international obligations", Sargsyan says, stressing the need to find the best possible option in the Karabakh conflict settlement.
"The matter concerns the best possible option for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, not for Azerbaijan or Armenia. And I am sure we will find the best possible option in the settlement and this will ensure the prosperity of not only Karabakh, but also Armenia and Diaspora," the Armenian President says.
