The Russian society is not indifferent to the Armenian Genocide topic, Mikhail Shvydkoy, Russian President's Special Representative for International and Cultural Cooperation, said in Yerevan during a meeting with the participants of the Russian-Armenian Parliamentary Club.
"I am sure that Russia has a clear and unambiguous attitude towards that issue. Moreover, numerous films and TV programs on WWI have recently been shot and they also feature the topic of the Genocide. Furthermore, next year numerous events dedicated to the centennial anniversary of the Armenian people's tragedy will be held in Russia", said Shvydkoy.
He added that scientific workshops and exhibitions will be held at the large museums of Russia, including Hermitage. "The crimes against humanity must be recognized and condemned. This is what will prevent re- occurrence of such crimes in the future", he said.
