The opening of the new Russian Trade Representation Office in Yerevan matters both for the Russian business, as well as for the Armenian-Russian relations, Maksim Sokolov, the minister of Transport of Russia, said during the opening ceremony of the office oin June 26.
The opening of the office is a logical step taken towards deepening the Armenian-Russian relations which are already at a high level. The aggregate volume of Russian investments in the Armenian economy totals about 3 bln USD, said Sokolov.
Over the past year two Russian enterprises have been opened in Armenia. The Russian side is willing to promote the Armenian business in Russia.
To note, Russian ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin, as well as other high-rank officials were also present at the opening ceremony.
