Tbilisi. Georgian Parliament Speaker, David Usupashvili, will
pay a one-day official visit to Israel, on Wednesday, July 23 - Georgian
Parliament's press service reports.
As reported, Usupashvili is expected to meet
his Israeli colleague, the Knesset Speaker, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein and Head of
Israel-Georgia Friendship Group, Avraham Michaeli. Georgian Parliament Speaker
will great Israeli MPs and people from the Knesset tribune.
During the visit, David Usupashvili is
expected to meet with the newly elected President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin; the
Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee Chairman, Ze'ev Elkin and the
opposition leader, Isaac Herzog.
After the official meetings, Georgian
Parliament Speaker will pay tribute to the Holocaust victims and lay a wreath
at Yad Vashem memorial, in Jerusalem.
Tedo Japaridze, Georgian Parliament's
Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, will be accompanying David Usupashvili on
his trip to Israel.
