Relations between Russia and Armenia within integration processes develop intensively, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan.
"It can be noted that within integration processes our relations develop more intensively than they were before and this is very good. Armenia currently chairs in CSTO and a meeting on high level is scheduled for autumn", Putin said.
Welcoming his counterpart Putin mentioned increase of trade turnover between the two countries. According to him good indicators were registered in supply of agricultural products. "We register growth of turnover despite all the difficulties in the world and our domestic economy. Supply of agricultural products from the Armenian side has grown significantly, several-fold and we are glad about it. I hope that this trend will be registered in overall turnover and in trade of products sensitive for us", Putin said.
To note, trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in Jan-Apr 2016 totaled 419.5 mln USD. It has grown 1.2% compared to the same period of last year.
