The investigators of the Russian Interior Ministry Department for Tula region have brought charges against the driver of the bus that overturned near Tula earlier this month.
The driver has a status of a defendant now. He is charged with Article "Exploitation of transport means resulting in death of two and more people," the press-office of the Department told TASS.
The driver is facing up to 7 years in prison. The investigation continues. The bus is now undergoing a thorough technical examination.
To recall, 9 people were killed and 45 injured, as a passenger bus running from Moscow to the Armenian capital of Yerevan overturned on the M4 "Don" highway in Tula Region on November 3. The Russian Interior Ministry says the driver Garnik Harutyunyan fell asleep while driving. He has been detained for a period of 2 months.
