 Although 12 hours have passed since the night explosion of the bus in Yerevan, the law-enforcement has not made any official statement on the reasons of the explosion, says Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian oppositionist parliamentarian, a member of the Armenian National Congress faction.

Addressing the parliamentarians on April 26, he drew the attention of the state structures to the problem with reliability of official information.
"People receive more information from social media, and these reports are usually confirmed in 4 hours.  The same applies to the military situation. I am very concerned over the reliability of the information that is made public," Pashinyan said.

Naira Zohrabyan, the head of the Prosperous Armenia Party faction, said the Russian media responded to the incident immediately and "qualified the bus explosion as a terror attack" referring to their own "reliable sources." Meantime, the police and security forces have not provided any specific information on the incident, she said with bewilderment.
In response, Vice Speaker of the Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said he had a phone call with Aghvan Hovsepyan, the Head of the Investigation Committee of Armenia, who said the official theory of the incident will be made public by the end of the first meeting of the parliament (1:30pm - editor's note).  The vice speaker recalled that the prosecutor general and law-enforcers were on the scene at night and were providing information on the incident. 

"The investigative measures and examinations are continued. It is a very delicate issue. I have talked to the representatives of the security structures too. We will inform you as soon as the situation is clear," Sharmazanov said.

Two were killed and seven were wounded in a late night explosion on April 25 in Halabyan Street not far from the center of Yerevan.  According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, it was a Bogdan bus serving the No.63 public transport route. According to the source, at the moment of explosion, there were 9 passengers in the bus besides the driver.  The bus operated on diesel. 

A woman was hospitalized earlier in the morning. Aregnaz S. Galechyan (1955) left the scene after the explosion, but felt badly later and was taken to hospital. The two injured boys Roland S. Khojayan (2001) and  Edgar A. Gasparyan (2002) underwent surgery and their lives are no longer in danger.  The other injured passengers are receiving the necessary treatment at hospital now. One of the killed was identified.  The identity of the second killed passenger is being verified. 

Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia initiated a case on the basis of Article 279.3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (negligently caused human death). The Special Cases Department of the Investigative Committee is in charge of the case.
