Golden Apricot Yerevan 11th International Film Festival was announced as open on July 13.
The competition program includes Feature Competition, Documentary Competition, Armenian Panorama and Apricot Stone.
The non-competition program consists of About Parajanov; Retrospectives (films by Amos Gitai, Kim Ki-duk and Jia Zhangke); Tributes (Sergei Parajanov and Otar Iosseliani); Yerevan Premieres (films by Yervant Gianikian, Angela Ricci Lucchi, Diao Yinan, Vitaly Mansky, Krzysztof Zanussi, Joann Sfar, Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Luc Dardenne and Nuri Bilge Ceylan); Ukrainian Poetic Cinema; Cinema for Social Changes; New German Cinema (Inbetween Worlds by Feo Aladag, Jack by Edward
Berger and Love Steaks by Jakob Lass); and Armenians: Internal and External Views.
A total of 300 films from 49 counties will be screened during the festival.
Among the other important events are Films Across Borders, a forum for film directors from the Eastern Partnership states, and a meeting of Armenian and Turkish filmmakers.
The festival will last till July 20.
