Armenian Center of Culture and Education in Israel will hold an action "One Candle. One Soul" ahead of the Armenian Genocide centennial.
Participants will lit a candle in memory for the Genocide victims and will send a message to five friends from five continents with a call to recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide, says Spokesperson for Noyan Tapan Armenian Center of Culture and Education in Israel Mendel Korsunsky.
The Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in the early 20th century claimed the lives of 1.5 million of Armenians. Dozens of countries have already recognized that crime against humanity as Genocide. A resolution to recognize and condemn the Genocide was repeatedly submitted to Israeli Knesset, but was rejected.
