 Anti-Armenian reports of PACE will in no way have an impact on Karabakh conflict settlement, Director of the Caucasus Institute Aleksandr Iskandaryan told ArmInfo's correspondent, when commenting on the adoption by the PACE Social Affairs Committee of an anti Armenian report on Sarsang water reservoir, and on the "Escalation of Violence in Nagorno- Karabakh and Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan" report, prepared by Robert Walter British rapporteur.

According to him, such reports are result of propaganda, which the conflicting sides conduct. "This is a propaganda bubble, which will burst the same way it appeared. Such bubbles will be blown in future, which however will not impact on the conflict settlement", he stated. 

According to the political expert, the balance around the conflict reminds a "cabbage" with a complex political and economic combination of various lobbyings and politico-military component. "Throughout 25 years this cabbage has become a complex element, which is very difficult to influence and this is good as simple structures are easily destructed," he noted. At the same time the expert also thinks that in spite of Baku's responses and critical statements the dialog will continue. "The meeting of Armenia's president Serzh Sargsyan and Azerbaijan's president Ilham Aliyev will have no results, as the shooting and surrealistic statements will continue. However, the meeting will take place," the expert summarized.  

To note, on November 23, the PACE Committee adopted another anti-Armenian draft resolution - this time on Sarsang reservoir - "Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deprived of water", peperaed by Bosnian rapporteurMilica Markovich, known for her anti Armenian stand.  Earlier "Escalation of Violence in Nagorno- Karabakh and Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan" report, prepared by Robert Walter (United Kingdom, EC), a rapporteur of the PACE Political Affairs Committee was put on the agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) January session.  The Armenian delegates called on PACE not to touch upon the Karabakh problem at all, as a professional format of OSCE Minsk Groups already deals with it, and any discussions outside this format may impede Minsk co-chairs' activities. However, the Armenian delegation's arguments have been ignored. The Ramenian parliament intends to come up with an official statement related to this issue. As the Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan informed that the Parliament is working out also other steps to counteract the initiatives of the Turkish- Azerbaijani tandem at PACE.
