Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, seek to make the meetings more frequent, James Warlick, the US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, has told VoA when summing up the results of last week's meeting with the Armenian president.
He says that the two countries' presidents have not yet determined the date of the next meeting, however, they seek to intensify the dialogue. So, the OSCE Minsk Group is looking for an opportunity to organize such a meeting. Warlick points out that the Co-Chairs will shortly visit the region to settle the logistic problems.
To note, the latest trilateral meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents and US Secretary of State John Kerry took place during the NATO summit in Wales. The meeting covered the situation in the Karabakh peace process and issues related to the settlement prospects. Sargsyan and Aliyev presented their countries' stands in the peace process. US Secretary of State John Kerry pointed out the lack of alternative to peaceful resolution of the problem and urged the sides to find mechanisms to ease the tension and to strengthen the measures of confidence.
