The Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC) has completed grape procurement in Ararat Valley.
The Aygavan (Ararat province) and Armavir (Armavir province) branches purchased 100% of the targeted volume, which makes up over 33 thsd grapes. All the funds for the grapes have been transferred to the personal accounts of the viticulturists, the YBC press release says. The Berd branch (Tavush province) is still receiving the grapes. The branch will keep purchasing grapes till October 3. Here the company is going to purchase over 4 thsd tons and to ensure the index announced earlier.
To recall, this year the YBC will purchase 37 thsd tons of grapes (by 2 thsd tons more than in 2013).
The price of 1 kg of grapes is 150 AMD for the Armavir and Aygavan branches and 140 AMD for the Berd branch versus last year's 145 AMD and 135 AMD, respectively.
To note, the YBC procures only the grapes envisaged for production of Armenian brandy at the legislative level.
