In his today's interview, Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan has actually repeated his speech made at the October 24 rally, but this time he has done it in an easily defined form, Vice Speaker of Armenian Parliament, Spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov told ArmInfo's correspondent.
"Tsarukyan has simply repeated what he earlier said, and one should not look for anything new in his today's interview", said Sharmazanov. When commenting on Tsarukyan's statement that the Armenian authorities should make conclusions from how many people attend the opposition's rallies, Sharmazanov said that the leadership of the country handles the situation very well and knows both the problems and the methods to solve them. "The thing is that unlike the opposition, the authorities cannot use the mechanism called populism. The opposition forces are constantly criticizing the negative phenomena and flaws but offer no mechanism to remove them", he said.
"For instance, the draft budget 2015 is currently being discussed. The opposition forces are criticizing it by force of habit. What hinders them from elaborating a better version of the budget and submitting it for consideration of the public and political forces?! As regards the fact that there are problems in the country, we know it better than the opposition, and Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated that during the hearings on the budget", said Sharmazanov. Concerning the statement that today people want to see new persons on the political arena, he noted, "All the forces holding the rallies were at power, except one of them. So, they had a chance to try to settle the topical problems of the people", he said.
To note, in his today's interview, PAP Leader Gagik Tsarukyan criticized the authorities for the current socio-economic situation in the country and touched on the topical problems of the country. He also said that people want to see new persons on the political arena but he did not specify whom he meant.
