On Aug 1 2014 CEO of the South Caucasus Railway Viktor Rebets summed up the results of his company's work in July 2014.
He said that in July 2014 the company fulfilled 101% of its cargo transportation plans. As compared with July 2013 the average weight of one carriage grew by 1.5% from 1,490 tons to 1,513 tons.
The average daily capacity of one locomotive exceeded the planned level by 1.9%, the average daily run by 3.5%. The turnover of a wagon was increased by 3.3% to 2.9 days, the service speed by 3.1% to 33.4kmh.
On July 1 2014 the company raised wages to 1,418 employees. As a result its average salary grew to 187,500 AMD, which is 17.5% higher than the average salary in Armenia.
The key task for Aug 2014 is compliance with the cargo transportation and financial plans.
"This year too our company is working in strict compliance with its cargo transportation plan. We continue our efforts to develop our roads, to enhance our safety and to reduce our costs," Rebets said. The South Caucasus Railway is 100% subsidiary of the Russian Railways and has 30-year concession right to operate the Armenian Railways.
