The Investigation Committee of Armenia has disseminated a statement wherein it informs that a criminal case has been filed over property damage to Sanitek LLC Office in Armenia.
According to Sanitek Company, on 23 unknown person/persons moved 41 street litterbins from various streets to Baghramyan Avenue on June 23. All the bins were later used to create barricades during protests. The company suffered property damage in especially large amount.
The criminal case is based on Article 185.1.3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (intentional destruction or damaging of property, cause damage in especially large amount).
Under the criminal case, a decision has been adopted to confiscate all the litterbins from Baghramyan Avenue. The Police are charged to remove the street litterbins from the avenue. The sit-in against the rising electricity price continues in Baghramyan Avenue since June 22. The protesters say they built barricades from the litterbins to protect themselves from the Police.
