 New Technology Education Fund (NTEF) Armenia is organizing an unprecedented event, an Armenian IT Expedition Auto Rally Across Europe, which will introduce the Armenian IT companies to Europe, Vahan Hovsepyan, NTEF Executive Officer told ArmInfo.

"Armenian IT Expedition Auto Rally Across Europe is a large-scale project that looks to introduce our IT companies and specialists to the European market.  The geography of the Auto Rally will include 22 European countries. The tour will last 40-45 days. Business meetings, conferences, presentations will be organized for representatives of 40-45 Armenian IT companies. We want Europeans to learn about Armenia as a country of high technologies so that when hearing the word 'Armenia' they imagine a country with highly development intellectual potential backed with creative specialists able to bring benefit to the global  IT industry," Hovsepyan said. According to him, 50 local companies have already applied for participation in the project that will be launched in September-October 2015.

He said that a young researchers' "Mergelyan" Club has been created at the NTEF to help young IT specialists implement their technological ideas and projects. The Club brings together students and researchers. "They come with their ideas, we put forward tasks, help them make teams and start implementing projects. We help them also by rendering financial assistance, providing offices and international mentorship," NTEF Executive Officer said adding that the youngest member of the Club is 14 year-old.
