ArmInfo.Actions of disobedience have started in Armenia directed against the policies pursued by the current authorities of Armenia. Citizens oppose the unilateral concessions of the Armenian authorities to Azerbaijan. Citizens took to the streets in support of Tavush and, as a step of disagreement with the policy of the Armenian authorities, blocked the Yerevan-Gyumri, Yerevan-Meghri, Yerevan-Sevan roads.
All of these roads have interstate status: two lead to the border with Georgia, the third to Iran.
Residents of the border villages of Tavush have been holding protests on the Armenia-Georgia interstate road on the Kiran-Voskepar section since April 19. They oppose the border delimitation option agreed upon by Yerevan and Baku, as a result of which strategic heights will pass to Azerbaijan and Armenian villages will be completely or partially surrounded.
On April 19, the commissions for demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to begin demarcation of the border from the Tavush region. According to them, the description of these sections of the border line will be drawn up taking into account the clarification of the coordinates that will be obtained as a result of geodetic measurements on site. All this will be documented in the appropriate protocol description, which must be agreed upon and signed between the parties before May 15 of this year.
